Note that last option. If we wouldn't look through the mountain,Skullgirls lore seems like something created for some fun, maybe goofy storytelling without the main focus on that, and rather on being a good fighter game.īut luckily,we do try to look through that mountain of what seems simplistic and feel like Lab Zero Is hidding some major things to us,for the sake of being hidden until the right time comes. That's why It would be Important for them to keep the same characters,so that to not only us who have been wondering, but to the characters themselves we've experienced with,to finally discover what Is going on and your whole existence wasn't just "grab Skullheart, make wish, become antagonistic character." ![]() What a lot of us say here Is that we need the storymode of Marie to actually know what's going on,because as far as we can tell,Marie has witnessed every character without me saying she met them all (In the boss fight, ofcourse) and knows that,or that depending on which storymode you choose there has been only one character Marie Is associated with. And we don't know which one or what the actual hell Is going on.īack to Skullgirls II,why I think that each and every (PLAYABLE) character of Skullgirls I would be back,Is that I think they would do the same way of storytelling In SG II,with the separate lores, because this could lead to 2 things :ġ.The classic Skullgirls "play your favourite cat, saxophone, dead kid,big tits and every other weirdo we've got to offer you" storytelling style.Ģ.An actual climax of the storymodes coming together and make some grand finale for this lore and reveal what has been hidden from us and what we've been anticipating all this time. What's more on these storymodes Is how apart they are from each other.Sure certain characters are connected to each other and certain points In x' story mode happen also at y's story mode, but apart from that,we barely know what actually Is going on In the time and space of the SG Universe. The reason I think that Is because In Skullgirls I,we've barely (or me atleast) got as much as we could expect from It.Before I actually played the game,I thought that the lore playthroughs would be long, deep, and full of Interesting shit. Now,I'm not saying that I think the storymodes were shit, they weren't.Just a lot shorter then I expected It to ever be. I suspect It's already been said before In this thread, but what I think what would happen Is that Skullgirls 2 would be nothing more then a "Look-In-The-Future" (Or If they do what I don't really hope for,"Look-In-The-Past") progression.Which means that,or what I atleast am trying to say,Is that we'll have the same (PLAYABLE) characters (Don't worry, they won't remove your favourite waifu or husbando In this theory) as In Skullgirls I,but now,we'll see how they are doing In the future after the past events we've experienced with them In Skullgirls Uno.Personal side note,I would really like a big gap.Something like 5-10 years.3 months would be "egh" for me at first, but again, that's just me. Perhaps that Dagonian kidnapping case will be a big lead for Irvin's and Ms. She needs more ally connections like the Lab 8 survivors (which should expand to include Painwheel). I like how they set up Irvin as a bridge between Ms. I didn't feel like coloring in the entire fused Squigly :P Sure, parasites can go in dormant states, but his situation is quite unique. Perhaps he's undead too seeing how he jumped to a dead/dying host being revived by Skullgirl power. Squigly rots and Leviathan expires or he seeks out a new host. But also keep some parasite transformation powers (hand changes into a blade, flame breath, serpent tail whip arm attack, etc.). Ideally, she'd regain a healthy color and regrow/heal her missing parts. If it is even possible, perhaps Squigly will cease being undead and be some bizarre hybrid but alive. ![]() Either they need to become stronger to somehow resist this entropy, or.īecome like Eliza, a pair of parasite and human blurring into one being. ![]() However, Squigly is still slowly decomposing so this arrangement is finite. Powered by proximity to the Skullgirl, Squigly and Leviathan can only wait for each seven-years opportunity to revive with each new nearby Skullgirl transformation. I see Squigly's future limited to a few options:
